  1. more expensive helmets don’t claim to offer better protection what they do offer is more ventilation and a smaller design

  2. @p154831 The majority of bike accidents are not caused by the bikers themselves. The helmet does protect. You may be able to repair a broken body, but you can’t repair a broken head.

  5. @Vintagestevemartin I do know that, that’s why I don’t ride at night and if I do I don’t ride in the middle of the street. I still don’t understand how a piece of styrofoam can protect your head but that’s just me.

  6. @p154831 You should read about people who get run down by cars and die because they weren’t protecting their head. True, you should always know how to ride a bike properly.. but that doesn’t stop idiots driving a car..

  9. Usually if you pay alot of money for a helmet you are paying for something that is really light, and will still protect you, or something that will protect everything, ie full face helmet.

  12. I’m 15. I’ve ridden my bike to school practically every day since 6th grade now I’m in 10th grade. My bike has over 3000 miles on it. I have a odometer on it so don’t tell me I’m wrong. I never use a helmet, and never have fallen or crashed my bike since 5th grade. I personally think helmets are for idiots that don’t know how to ride a bicycle. They don’t even protect you in my opinion. Not to mention they make you look gay. Learn how to ride a bike, don’t go wasting money on worthlessjunk

  15. Correct me if im wrong, but this video is about bike helmets…So why the hell are we talking about atheism? I’m not having a go or anything, i’m just wondering :D

    Comment by NaSrI8FaN — November 2, 2011 @ 5:25 am

  16. @ElysePolston you cant “follow” Atheism
That’s like saying not believing in the tooth fairy is a cult of tooth fairy disbelievers.
People forget that Atheism is the lack of theistic belief. hence why it is called A-theism.

    Comment by evilyakko — November 2, 2011 @ 5:40 am

  17. @evilyakko I read somewhere (no I don’t remember where) that the standard rule of thumb in American legal talk (I don’t think it’s an official law or anything though) is that a religion is any set of beliefs of which there are more than a million followers. Less than a million is considered a cult. Which is why agnosticism, atheism Pastafarianism are considered religions.

    Comment by ElysePolston — November 2, 2011 @ 6:39 am

  18. @midgety1 they kinda fucked it up when they said Atheism is a religion.

  24. cheaper helmets tend to have fewer vents than more expensive ones. that’s really the only performance difference i’ve noticed.
